Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging the services of Automate Smart Home Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”) or using our website at automatehomes.com.au, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services

We provide smart home consultation, design, supply, and installation services across South Australia. The specific scope of services for each engagement is agreed in writing prior to commencement of work.

3. Consultations

Initial consultations (up to 1 hour) are provided free of charge and carry no obligation. Consultations are intended to assess your requirements and provide preliminary recommendations. Formal proposals or quotes are provided separately following a consultation.

4. Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are provided in Australian dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Pricing may vary based on site conditions, equipment availability, or changes to scope requested by the customer.

5. Payment

Payment terms are specified in individual service agreements. Generally, a deposit is required prior to commencement of work and the balance is payable on completion. We reserve the right to suspend or withhold services where payment obligations are not met.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

Our installations are covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of completion. Equipment and hardware warranties are governed by the respective manufacturer warranty terms. Warranty claims must be submitted in writing. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or failure to follow operating instructions.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by you for those services. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage.

8. Cancellations

Scheduled appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a call-out fee. We will endeavour to accommodate rescheduling requests wherever possible.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of Automate Smart Home Studio and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
